For providing various drug information and answering the inquiries from doctors, nurses and patients in DI room hospital pharmacy, drug information request filed during 1 year from Aug. 1991, to Jul. 1992, were analysed according to the form of request record. Most inquirer´s occupation was doctor, the rate was 65.6%. Content of requests were analysed as stock of drug 40.7%, composition 15.7%. As for the inquirer´s tendency to interest, doctors were interested in pediatric application and identification of drug, nurses were interested in stability and incompatibility of injections
According to the classification of pharmacological action inquiry about antibiotics accounts for 20.5%(64.1% of which was about new generation antibiotics) and drug acting on nervous system accounts for 19.1%, About 30.7% of the questions were answered by using reference books and the reference used most frequently in answering were Martindale KIMS and Hospital Drug Mannual. As for the response time, it takes less than 1 minute which accounts for 71.9%, less than 5 minutes accounts for 20.7%.
